Yeah, the thing that pissed me off was that the website says "Ships in 1-2 days". My priority was time, and they flat-out lie about that. If I had known that in advance, I would have never given them my money (which has been refunded now) or my time (which I can never get back again).

I would have paid for expedited shipping if they'd been honest about when the items would actually ship. But lying just to get the sale? I refuse to support that.

It's as sleazy a tactic as people who list their vehicles as "$1" on craigslist.

As for "spam from competing parts houses", I doubt it. Their other companies like boats.net get similar ****ty reviews about blatant misrepresentation and missing parts all over the web. Given my experience, I'm more inclined to believe the reviews than conspiracy theories. I don't give these companies' social media personnel that much credit, given that most of 'em don't even have a Twitter account. ;)

We ended up sourcing all of our parts from local/regional vendors who will get them in my hands before Partzilla even estimated they'd ship. They're already en route. Lesson learned: never shop at Partzilla.
Just so ppl know "ships in 1-2 days" means handling time.. means they have 1-2 days to pick from the shelf and ship it..NOT it'll arrive in 1-2 days.... as far as the $1 listing on Craigslist, it's for ppl that don't really have a price set... make an offer, they can't leave it blank, and 0 ppl get hounded with "is this free?"... sorry for your bad experience, but you gotta be up with the lingo to understand and not get p'od. I only know this from boatloads of research as an online EUC parts seller, the avg person wouldn't.

First this is a old post, your first post, as a former moderator I question why bother posting here? As to Partzilla , I have posted before, their site is misleading, it shows in stock, two days later after they processed my credit card I got a email, on back order. It was upper rad hose which my dealer in Canada got in 7 days. My Partzilla order came in 3 weeks after ordering, and their price was 40% higher. Never again, do your research!!

bc forums like this are still up for people, even years in the future, to look back and find information... such as today, me coming across it and bc of it made the decision NOT to order from Partzilla... I didn't notice the shipping time prior to this... the shipping thing, it's good for people to know "ships in 1-2 days" means handling time, not arrives... people don't realize the difference...

as far as why did I post... can't hurt adding fresh info to an old post, versus old posts and people retaining that info without knowledge of updates since... right? Allowing for responses- even if it's 5 years later allow the topic to stay relevant, Isn't that what forums are for? Otherwise, the convos would be removed after a certain time...
