On a separate thread, another member noted that the "speedo pickup is on the countershaft sprocket so regardless of how many teeth are on your front or rear sprocket, your speed at 5,200 rpm will always read 70mph in 6th gear."
Im confused. If the pickup is on the countershaft, and I was in 4th gear at 5200rpms, wouldn't the speed also read 70 mph? It doesn't. What am I missing?
Does anyone know what the actual engine rpm is in 6th gear, 5,200 rpm indicated, with 44T on the rear? Is it worth changing to a 44T?
