I noticed that my digital clock is losing time while it is parked overnight. I checked the battery connection and it is not loose. What should I check next?

battery voltage?

...also check charging voltage. If your battery is dying or not getting charged to capacity, the clock circuit could be powering down intermittently at a low voltage while parked or while the battery is under high load on startup.

Is the clock actually losing time or is it maybe resetting at certain times, just making it appear to be losing time?

I have been dealing with a fork oil leak and a broken clutch cable. Once I resolve these two issues I will take a closer look at the clock situation and try out your suggestions. I noticed the clock hasn't lost time since I posted this, which is good. However the two buttons that are used to reset the clock don't respond when I press them.

OK, I finished replacing the clutch cable and fixed the fork oil leak using the sealmate tool. I made a video of the situation with the mode and reset buttons

As you can see the mode button on the top is almost impossible to actuate. Any recommendations on how to fix it?

Pull the Tach/Speedo out of the dash. Take the back side off get to the buttons remove the rubber and spay contact cleaner on them.....
