I was trying to set up my front suspension according to the Cycle World article. On both preload adjustments I tried to turn the adjusters all the way in to get a starting point. Problem is the both just keep turing and neither will bottom out. I am assuming the lefty - righty principle is in place. Now I have no clue ifthe left and right forks have the same preload. Has anyone else had this issue? Please help.....

All set. I never check this preload when I purchased the bike. From what I can tell both forks were full soft. I had to crank the preload for what seemed to be for ever. It seemed to be way more than 15 turns out from full in (hard).

Not much help there it just say's Jim took 2 turns off the preload on the forks. You need to set the sag for your weight. Front and Rear. I just had my sag readjusted be LE, my rebound settings stayed the same. all the way in on the fork and about 5 clicks in on the shock. the ride is much better.
I adjusted the sag when my bike was new and it made a big difference in the ride.:thumb:
Steve from Lindemann Engineering making adjustments to my suspension at La Ducati Day in La Honda on Sunday. I was really hoping to see Jim Lindemann there but Steve told me that Jim had another surgery for his brain tumors about 5 days before and was not up to making it. Ive know Jim from about 1978 back when he worked at Moto-X Fox and I worked down the street at Proto Pipe Exhaust Systems in Campbell CA.
