And a t-rex skid skid plate ...
and a front fender riser ... homemade, or did you buy it 🤔

Looks good! Aren't you also doing mods to a Honda CRF300 over on the other forum?

Looks great! Love the color. Really needs some extra lighting if you are going to be riding around cars.

You did a wonderful job with this bike. Work of art.

I ride a '23 as well and have a few of the same upgrades.

Congratulations on a job well done and thanks for sharing.

Great info. My 2018 X300 has a lot of the same upgrades. T-Rex bash plate and engine guards. Wider foot pegs (forgot the brand), Bark Biusters, lowered foot pegs (6'3" with 34" inseam), 2" Rox Pivoting bar risers (I stand a lot - back problems), Givi side racks with DIY Pelican cases, Pelican top rack, USB dash plug, Auxbeam auxiliary lights on a DIY mount (mounted to top front of T-Rex crash bars), Sit-n-Fly seat cover over a Mad Dog ATV seat cover, and Mitas E07+ tires w/ very think tubes and "Ride On" brand sealer. Did a portion of the TransAmerica Trail (part of Colorado and Utah) over mountain passes and some trails in Moab. Did everything well but deep sand! Came home to Colorado on pavement and the Mitas tires did that very well also. This is a legit mini ADV bike IF you don't outrun the suspension on rougher stuff. Just slow down. I'm 215 lbs and only bottomed out the front suspension once, (did't see a deep pothole on a Jeep Forest Service road). Never bottomed out the rear. That said, I'm in my 70s and ride very connseratriely (hence the moniker "KawaGeezer). One of the best small CC commuters in the market! Not a dual sport, but a legit mini-ADV!

Yes I contacted Woody’s and asked if they could build some X300 wheels and they could. I didn’t weigh but there’s online posts that state on average the Excel wheels are on average 1lb lighter plus the weight advantage of no tube. Hard to say if I noticed since I was on new tires (Dunlop Trailmax Raid) and they were a positive addition. The idea of tubeless was the driving factor- old man/bad back :)

My son and his buddy installed that but didn’t hear of any issues. I used recommended parts from this article:
