I'm gonna guess no. I hope I'm wrong.

BTW, interesting comparison, Z1000 vs CB1100.

On one hand we have a performance oriented naked with modern liquid cooled technology, brakes, suspension, tires, styling, etc. On the other hand we have a retro standard with an air cooled motor looking like it was cut in the 70's....

IMO, aside from being motorcycles two entirely different applications.

The problem with bringing the CB to the US is that it is built in Europe, with euros. The exchange rate between dollars and euros sucks right now. The bike would be hugely overpriced compared to bikes built in Japan. That is a tough argument to win when talking to the dollars and cents guys at Honda.

The ZRX was available here.

First as the ZRX1100 in 1999 and 2000, then as the ZRX1200 from 2001-2005.

It never sold well on the sales floor, since it always competed with the squid bikes.

I owned an '04 for about 2 years. I liked the power, but it steered pretty heavy in the corners and went through tires pretty quickly.

I snared one of these last Thursday. $9300 here in Wisconsin. The low end torque of this thing is amazing

I've been reading about the CB1100 online for last couple of years and finally got to see one at the Honda display when I flew up to Austin for the MOTOGP, Impressive machine, the fit and finish was outstanding. I have owned a lot of motorcycles over the decades but only a few Hondas, the two that stand out are a red CB750 in '70 and a red CBX in '79, I loved both of those motos, I sat on the CB1100 and thought of some of rides and adventures on those motos years ago. I flew back to Lima and contacted Tom the owner of Lake City Honda in Seattle, my CB1100 arrived today and will be set up tomorrow. My amigo Scott is going to store it for me, I'm flying out of here on the 4th of July and will be riding the back roads of the Pacific Northwest for a few weeks. I'm feeling like a 16 year old kid with his first motorcycle, I can't wait to hit the road on it.

Yea Eddie, I'm still kicking, I made it back to Lima after traveling 2500 miles on the back roads of Washington and Oregon, the CB1100 was flawless and I averaged 53 mpg. I'm looking forward to coming back up in April, plan to spend a few months riding in the US and Canada.
