At the Dallas , Progressive motor cycle show I picked up a Harley-Davidson
Genuine Motor Parts & Accessories book with 920 pages of goodies for there
bikes, on page 694 they offer LED head lamp that fit the bike`s.
When I look into OEM part`s at the dealership I am lucky to see any thing for my V.
Geese Kawasaki people what is up with this ????:blah:

Harley makes good money selling their "lifestyle"...they have a lot of stuff..but most of it is generally worthless...the Japanese do not narrow themselves down to a single lifestyle..they provide the bikes..YOU provide your style...having said that..I believe you can get everything you "need" from Kawasaki..they leave the "googah" farkles to others..of which there are plenty...

One major difference between American and Japanese bikes is the lifecycle. American bikes go for years and even decades using most of the same parts. Japanese tend to upgrade their wares far more often. This is changing as Japanese big sellers that are pretty well optimized grow old, the Gold Wing for instance.

Anyway, if I start a business making motorcycle doodads, which am I going to make them for, the one whose parts never change or the one that will be obsolete in three years? Hence your big Harley catalog.
