Zut alors! Bummer of significant proportions. Funny thing about accidents. They never happen when we're ready for them. Hope you heal a quickly and that your knees don't end up any worse in the long run.

Sorry that happened.

That is one thing I keep telling people. The one time I don't wear my gear and wreck will have erased all those times I sweated on the bike because of the gear and didn't wreck. That helps remind me to always put it on.

Thanks for the reminder that it can happen anytime and even more so when Murphy's law kicks in.

Heal up.

Well some times they do
Its just happens after they say hey watch this...its just some road rash I'm sure I'll be fully healed in a month or so. And my knee was no more sore after the crash then be for so I think its ok .

Yup.. Pain finally found brain

silviefox - people have DIED from infections started from "road-rash"! Broken bones AIN'T fun, but I'd take THAT over a bad case of road-rash.

So far I've broken a leg, a leg and ankle, a hand, and ribs several times. ALL but one rib busted in a low-side on pavement, happened riding/ racing dirt....
NEVER had a bad case of road-rash...!:thanx:

Worst road rash I ever had was earned on a bicycle, racing on a tarmac track. Sprint for the finish, a rider in front of me to the right cut across in front of me, took out my front wheel at probably 55 km/hr. Somersaulted right onto my face on the track. That left a mark, and closed my eyes for a week, but the road rash to shoulder, knees, hips and ankles was what really hurt. Shorts and t-shirt offer no protection at all.
