:feedback: I am putting money down on a 2011 V. Just wanting to know what is the most popular farkle? It seems alot of folks are into adding stuff to their V,not sure it is for comfort, safety, looks or just to personalize their ride.I would like to add Givi side cases to carry my stuff, crash bar to protect my ride and sliders. Not crazy about getting a top case! I would like hear from others to why they have added items to their ride.

of all the farkles so far my 2 favorites are speedys foot peg lowering blocks for comfort, and speedys flatfoot for piece of mind on the side stand.

H&B Crash Bars; Speedy's lowering kit and Flatfoot (I have a 29" inseam, so this was a must have); Gel Seat (again, because I have a 29" inseam). Then GPS, fork lights, headlight modulator, small clock, voltmeter.

Put in a 9 or 10 hour day riding last week...wouldn't have been able to do it had i not had extra stuffing in the seat...it only took an hour or so on the bike the first day of ownership to feel tailbone pain....for me its the seat!

Grandpa Ron, I have raced and toured on bicycles for at least 35 years now. I see lots of forum users swapping seats for a Corbin or Baldwin or simply overstuffing themselves. But after riding a narrow bicycle seat I see the Versys seat as a big comfy couch compared to my racing saddle. I can hardly wait to sit on a V seat after all these years.

ROCKETMAN...When buying a new bicycle for either me or my son the first thing to go is that puny little, hard racing saddle! how dare thay put those things on mountain and off-road type bicycles. Give me the big fat fluffy springy seat any day. You don't have to get a bell or a horn as people can hear the squeaking springs at 100 yds. or more! May as well be comfy as possible when excercising!

Rocketman.

GIVI side case,H & B crash bar, go with this first and the other , wait till you contact the virus call-Farkling with no antidote.

1/ Kawasaki top box for the pure convenience of not having to lug your helmet
everywhere and still being able to spit traffic without fuss (also a good backrest for
the wife)
2/ SW Motec crash bars and Bark Busters for some fall down and ride away security.
3/ Just recently added Oxford Heated Grips they are a 5 star investment and i wish
i'd got em sooner (4am starts with cold fingers kinda sucks.)
4/ Finally a woolen seat cover with a camping mat underneath for some butt comfort.

still to come Givi or Cal-sys screen / Rox risers / Alum bars / Sebel Horn / Multistrada 1200 (much later)

Actually should mention my main up grade was the givi rack system, the bike shop sold it to me for half price from a traded in V and brought two new side bins and put my old top box on from my previous bike.

I don't have many but gotta say it again....Love the V-Stream windscreen. It suits me perfectly.
And my AXIO tailbag....DITTO!

That being said...The best farckle I've done to "me" is in fact our beloved Versys.:D
(I'm talking 'things' here of course. The bike comes in a few notches short of 'asking my sweetie to be my wife......She's the bestest farckle EVER!!!!!:thumb:)
