Installed the center stand. Ordered it last Saturday from the dealer and it came in this morning. This afternoon I installed it.

just wondering since you have one-is it gold plated-or diamond incrusted--that is one expensive centerstand--the one for the Honda cbr500X is $115--how can there be that much difference

I agree, but as of now Kaw is the only game in town. And I wanted to have a center stand. It is all what the Market will bear. Highway robbery,
Went for 110 mile ride today.

@amad1972 -- where is that pic ... I noticed the TN state flag ... since I'm just below the line in GA (near Chattanooga) ... I may add that to my "need to go places"

Happy Monday !

Your shad boxes match the lines of the bike nicely. Look better than the factory option. Cool getting out for a ride! Getting close in MI.

This picture was taken at the Veteran's Overlook on Clinch Mountain. I live in Knoxville. This road runs between New Tazewell and Bean Station. It's a nice ride.

Today? Moved it around in my garage, put the top box on and then the cover I got for the RS to see if it fits; it does. But, Saturday...

First commute of ‘22. Tossed in the battery. Fired right up like I rode it yesterday. Still some snow on my driveway but roads are cleared off, besides some new crater sized potholes, 54F light drizzle. Arrived warm n dry. Calling for 48 and clear for the return. Don’t see another chance as far out as the forecast goes, so had to do it. Got my Feb ride in! Only missed January 👍 Not bad for Michigan

Farkles are slowly rolling in. Installed a couple for the weekend, including the following:

Madstad 18" windscreen and bracket
SW-Motech Tank Ring
SW-Motech Evo Footrests
SW-Motech Kickstand Extension
T-Rex Racing Exhaust Slider
T-Rex Racing Adjustable Center Stand

Managed to order the wrong tank bag, so had to place a second order and am trying to get Twisted Throttle to process a return. Apparently SW-Motech has a magnetic version of their Daypack along with their tank ring version. 😑

Changed out oil and filter. Applied throttle. Been getting some good spring rides in March, now April. Couple of them damp. It’s been just warm enough to ride about 1/2 the time in SE Michigan. Bike is trashed dirty. If it finally gets up to 60F, I’ll have to break out the hose. For now, we still getting snow! I’m so ready for it to warm up.

I rode it to the set of Robocop. Crappy looking day, sprinkling when I left home. Radar looked sporadic and would be over before returning home, so i donned my rain gear and commuted to work. Rain let up a mile later. Then resumed 20 min after arrival. Took a shot of the building next door at break, which served as a set for Robocop.

Glad you got some miles in ! It's those rainy miles that make the sunny ones feel so much better 😌

I get many rides in on the iffy days. Get burned occasionally, but mostly not. I took it out in the deluge we had last summer. Had freeways flooded for weeks, hundreds of cars submerged. I was nearly one of them. Water came over the hood for a good 10 seconds. Not sure how it stayed running, but I got to surface streets after that. It was raining so hard I was utterly soaked before even getting into my car in the parking lot.
It was still raining the next day with much flooding everywhere. I elected to not risk the car and have an urban flooding adventure ride instead. I crossed a few lakes that got half way up to my air intake. Gortex is great stuff. I got to work dry and actually had fun.

It was a once in a lifetime flood event here around Detroit and I’m mid 50s. No, it’s not because of climate change. Somehow, 21 of our 24 pump stations failed to evacuate the storm water. Looked a lot like our fine governor Gretchen Whitmer’s way of securing federal funding for equipment maintenance and upgrades. Forget the millions in property damage that people were rewarded with. The state got their funding.

Installed a Two Brothers exhaust Friday night and took it for a spin on Saturday. Definitely too loud stock, so went ahead and ordered the db killer for it.

I flushed my cooling system and replaced with new coolant Saturday afternoon. Pretty sure the PO hadn't done it. Was in pretty good shape for a 2017 first flush - green and very little 'gunk' /sediment. Glad to have that done 👍🏻

The bike does feel more peppy, but not sure if it's due to the sound influencing my perception or an actual performance change.
