I rode to Florence, AZ to help passing-out 'food-bank-food' to the people that need help. Left home at 0700 (freezing-bloody-cold) to ride there, helped for about three hours, then home in warmth...!

THIS has been the COLDEST winter since we started coming to AZ as 'snow-birds' back in '03...!

It was 57, overcast, and a light mist today here in NW Georgia. My wife and I rode up to Costco to cash our "annual refund" ... picked up a few things there, and had some good Mexican food at our favorite spot on the way home. That dampness and LA l of sunshine made it feel a little cooler than expected... but it was a nice ride anyway 👍🏻

Had a nice ride 75 miles down to a veggie stand to pick up some fresh tomatoes and fried peanuts. It was foggy, wetter and cooler than I thought it would be. Had to stop and put on a rain jacket for the wind and cold. Still a very good ride though. Also tried using an external battery pack to power my GoPro because the standard battery only lasts for about an hour. With the battery pack I recorded the entire 3 hour ride with both battery and storage left over. As long as it isn't really wet I think this method will work well for me.

Edit to include screen print from GoPro - I had stopped to put on rain jacket for warmth.

New chain and sprockets; went back to a 46 rear sprocket. I forgot how much better the 46 feels! I'll deal with the higher revs.

My last rear was a 43. I also run a 150/70 Shinko 705. The larger diameter tire made the taller gearing feel a bit too tall. It was nice on the freeway but I had to work a bit to get the front wheel up.

I like this new 46 much better:)

Today I adjusted/cleaned/lubed my chain. I usually keep the bike covered, and in the short time it wasn't, it was already covered in pollen. It's that time of the year here in the southern U.S. Yesterday I rode north to photograph an old coal
tower that I have been wanting to visit. Did about 130 miles up and back.

Very nice picture!

And you're right about the pollen. Up here in the north (North Georgia that is - LOL) ... the Bradford Pear trees started blooming 2 weeks ago (MID FEBRUARY ???) ... usually start Mid-Late March, so a good month early. Pollen and sneezing everywhere !

Finally opened the season of riding.

New brake cylinder (from gen3), SS lines - and front brake has a noticeably better feel now. Not as 4 piston one with radial master cylinder, but way better than original.
Tried Scorpion Trail 2 - I like it. A little sacrifice on a high speed (100 mph+), but I rarely ride that fast. Grips better than Angel ST on gravel and muddy roads.
Heated grips - how did i ride without them? Big step in comfort.
Saddle reshaped - feels better. Maybe will test more on long rides, for now - good angle, nice and comfy compared to stock.

Glory to Ukraine.
