Today I was out on a small trip just having a blast on my versys. Got to a small town, and rode around slowly behind some tourists. Suddenly i heard a weird buzzing from the engine, so i decided to turn in to a gas station. As i turned off the road the temperature warning light came on. It turns out a gravel bit had got wedged between the fan and the radiator. Used a small stick to ease it out from there, and started up again. Luckilly the fan wasnt burned, and Seconds later the temp warning light came off. I know I will be keeping an eye on this in the future.. :) Might even order a fender extender..

I allready have a rad guard, but i never thought of this happening. So i guess a fender extender will be the next thing to get. Even tho i dont like how it looks. :)

It happened to me over a year ago. [stone in fan] Often wondered if it was what caused my stator to fail. The high current draw and all.

BTW, an EX650 fan
