But.....I didn't see the power source when he disassembled it!!!

Looking at the 2 wheel drive it must've had a centrally located enging with direct drive wheels which butted up against the road wheels to give it traction.
That would also work in 4 wheel drive for an ATV which you could just lift onto the back of your truck!

At the 01:27 point where he lifts it out of the mud you can see 2 chains... one to each wheel's large diameter sprockets in the right hand side.

Very clever. Some one must have woken up in the middle of the night with this bright idea. This is how most clever stuff is conceived, along with children.
