Hi all! I have featured my red Versys in another product video online if anyone wants to check it out. This is such a truly versatile bike, I can literally go from rolling through mud, gravel and rocks one day, to getting groceries the next. I'll try to post when I have more opportunities to feature the mighty Versys is some more video...in case anyone is interested :blah:. Options are going to get limited, as it won't be too long and the white stuff will start blanketing the ground up here...hmmm, maybe I just got an idea...:D   The new video starring my Versys can be seen here:

The nearest Trader Joe's is about 20 miles from my and I like to load up on certain staples they carry. With V35's on the sides and an E52 on the tail, I can easily pack $100 worth of groceries on the Versys. Did I say 20 miles? Well, the ride home is about 20 miles but the ride there is usually at least 75.

Funny how points A and B can grow exponentially farther apart when on two wheels! The same thing happens to me...morning commute to work is 8 miles, but the ride home can stretch anywhere from 8 to 50 miles...there's gotta be some quantum physics theory or a warp in the space-time continuum to explain it...at least that's what I tell my wife

LOL...Let FREEDOM reign.

ed....Seen what option 2 can do....I'd keep it on my back, for sure!

My grocery trips require a little more packing. Note all 3 cases are filled and the Costco soft cooler on pillion too:

Yes-that is a pizza on top.......
Nice!:thumb: I strap pizza onto the pillon seat every so often on the way home, sometimes add a 12 pack too:D. I filled my saddle bags and tank bag on a recent grocery grab for the wife. Didn't realize until I was in the store that her list also had me hauling home a pumpkin for halloween! No worries thought, I always carry a bungee net and it strapped nicely to the rear seat...had a few funy looks on the ride home though...

I can't touch the grocery-getting prowess the above V, but my V46 is a beer-run veteran!

Also, I like how a member in Canada used the Red White and Blue!! :usa:

Cute vid. If it's aerostitch it's gotta be good, right?

I rode 75 miles to a bike shop and brought home a front fender for my dirtbike. Sometimes you just gotta haul the darndest things.

Seems like those would be handy for stashing stuff in a pannier as well.

Siyeh, Thanks for the new pics. I wanted to take a pic of our bikes together that day, but then we got busy talking, comparing farkle, swapping ride stories...and then I had to get back to work and you...well you got to go riding (lucky!). Was that moose in the swamp on the Gunflint or up the Echo? Just curious. Maybe we can hook up and do a ride together some time...maybe not before the snow flies, but something to look forward to for spring.

CJBROWN, the LP Bags are very nice. There's a ton of cheap little bags out there...but this one has all the extra little thought out bits that make it more functional for us riders. Keeping one on the bike always comes in handy, but having one along on a recent trip to Vegas also saved me from having to buy another bag for the trip home...or looking like I was homeless carrying around an assortment of shopping bags...just too bad I didn't need it to carry the piles of cash I didn't win. :(

I used to live in Grand Marais. I've been meaning to get back up there on the bike to hit up the gunflint on the bike and make several side trips on the way. Jealous. Duluth is my favorite town in the country.....

Cropdusterdave, There is a group ride planned for tomorrow (Saturday 10/9) from Duluth up to Trail Center Lodge on the Gunflint for breakfast (Pancakes bigger than the plate and if you eat 3 they're FREE!)...all bikes and riders are welcome to join in. It looks to be an absolutely perfect day for a ride up the North Shore! (unfortunately, due to some prior family commitments, I won't be able to make it...but I'll be there in spirit...and those three pancakes wouldn't stand a chance sitting in front of me :D ) We do have some great riding around here...especially scenic now with fall in full swing... Have I tempted you enough yet to get over here and ride...
