Hi All,
Just suffered a puncture on my rear tyre and taking it as an opportunity to put new tyres on. The question is around Type of tyre not brand.

I am thinking of putting on a cross tyre so I can do some dirt/gravel without worrying. I tend to stick to back roads as opposed to motorway as I live in the country...hence the puncture :(

What is the handling like going for a enduro style tyre? If i am on a motorway, will it effect my handling much?

All advice appreciated please. Thank you in advance:thanx:

I run Metzler Tourances on my Vs (the original ones, so I run a 130/80 [rear] on the front, a 150/70 on the rear), and they work fine for me (dirt and pavement), tho' I needed to raise the front fender for clearance, and the INITIAL feel is that they won't turn, tho' that feeling's gone after 100 miles. The Tourance Next model apparently comes in our sizes.

I think you'll be happy going to a tire that works both ways.
