Said good by to my old friend today.

Trusty old V's final ride.

Was not too painful since I already have a new replacement ride.

Would rather have sent it to a new home with the pink slip.

Did you ask about buying it back from insurance? Might have had some useful parts? It might have been a very cheap buy-back, strip useful parts and then get scrap weight for remainder of the bike.

But I do understand wanting to see it gone.

No where to store it, plus for the last 2 weeks my wife and I have been immersed in all things smoke and ash from dawn to dusk and beyond.

I know about that. After our house burned down I could not stand the smell of any fire- in a fireplace, stove or campfire. It took a few years to get over that.

I read your post about the first ride on Aprilia, sounds like a fun bike, minus the fuel gauge. Surprising that insurance is less than the V.

Yea go figure.

Lower premium for a much more exotic machine... but I'm not complaining.
