Hi all,
Any Ideas on options for topcase (top box) and rack, to hold 2 full face helmets for a 2010 Versys?

I went for the spanish SHAD (www.shad.es) less expensive than Givi, same quality overall (already falled from mount in the floor handle side while the case had 12kg luggage and no harm done but a scratch), versys 2010 specific mounts, 49L holds 2 full face helmets and some more stuff, passenger back rest and additional break/presence back lights options, will let you keep the original passenger grab handles and you can add in the future the shad side cases.

Although I do not know if it is distributed in the US.

i have never in my life put a helmet in a case. i always hang it on the bars! can't see someone taking my sweaty used helmet, but i guess it happens.\

I know this is offtopic but...
I was looking at aprilia shivers and noticed they have a bike called the mana 850 that has a place for a full face helmet IN THE TANK!!!! pretty cool!

Kind of like a scooter on steroids. I have never seen one on the road but it caught my eye too a few years ago. I am not sure but I think I remember it being an automatic? I can't remember.
Not to hijack this thread. Apologies.

I am pretty sure the Givi V46 will hold two full face helmets.

it is selectable, either auto or 7 gear manual

but then again, it is a type which is neither meat nor fish.. kinda like the honda dn01, my guess is those types never really get on with the masses

the shiver on the other hand is a real world full bike

probls with aprilias relate more to some dodgy fuelling and replacement parts, way too expensive and mostly hard to find even in europe

Thanks

Thanks for the info!
About the Mana, yes it's a real bike/scooter combo, could be nice.
I don't trust the Italian for dependebility though!
I had many issues with Ducati and Motoguzzi.

I had a hard time getting my size XL Scorpion Modular in a V-46. Thats just one. don't believe your getting 2 in there unless you've got two people with real small heads. Sold my V-46 got the E-55 now i'm a happy camper.

Hi there WELJO2001
Just wondering, is the E55 not intrusive to the back of the passanger more so than the V46 or E52?
Both my wife and myself are above avarage size, so this could be critical for comfort.

The first picture is with the V-46. the second is the E-55 and the 55 has a back rest on the front of the case. the 55 sits back alittle farther and gives the passenger more room. Sorry i don't have shots of both at the same angle. heres a couple more photos of both tops with a tail bag on the passenger seat #3 will be with the 46 and #4 the 55 on the fourth picture it has a different seat which gives the rider an extra inch up front than the stock seat. you can go to www.sporttour.com each case shown there has all the dimensions listed.

Hope this helps, Joseph
