Thanks for your service!

(I did 3 years in the Canadian Army Reserves, then 7 in the Royal Canadian Air Force.)

Just reviewing my newly found Grandpas WW1 records in the Canadian Expeditionary Force. Today is the day to honor the soldier.

Considering that most of the guys who flew MiGs were on the OTHER side, it's nice to see that some WERE on OUR side!

Began adding up family service records and it seems we have over 90 years combined USAF service. My father - 22 years, my wife's father - 22 years, my wife - 22 years, and yours truly - 25 years. Can't prove it, but I suspect that's more than the entire U.S. Congress. 0:)

Arion, salute to all four of you.

I too can't prove it but I suspect that the entire Indian Parliament will be less than 20 years, leave alone 90 years:laugh2:

Cool! My family was pretty heavily USAF as well. I spent 4 years in the AF as a munitions maintenance specialist in the very early 70's, one of my cousins made a 25 year career out of it, and two other cousins were 4 year USAF as well. The only outlier was my uncle who went into the Army during WWII.

For those of you who are interested, there is a USAF Cold War Veterans (1946 to 1991) Facebook page that is kind of fun to visit from time to time:
