Definitely liking this bike! Good for racking up quite some highway kilometers..

Picked up my second Versys-X from the dealership just three months ago and went past the 12k km this week, so time for some maintenance!

Welcome. Really pleased to see the resurgence of smaller, lighter motorcycles. Nice looking machine.

Thanks! And yes it was brand new!

Every week, 750 new commuter kilometers plus some fun riding..
If it is not slippery I will continue driving throughout the winter.

I'm hoping to go way past the 100.000 km mark with the little 300 twin.

Only downside so far are the OEM tires. Very slippery in wet conditions and they wear out like soft butter.
In a few days the Versys will be fitted with fresh Pirelli Scorpion Trail ll's.

I can't speak for the V1000, but the OEM tires on all three of my V650s were no better than just OK....

Basically they were "RIM PROTECTORS"....

I have the Pirelli Scorpion Trail 2 for 10.000km now, and stil very good on road (wet and dry). Still a lot of tread dept left.

Good to know to that you try to ride in the winter. Are you prepping the bike for the winter?
I try to ride all year round for the first time. O just bought some acf50 to protect the bike from salt

No, i do nothing to prepare for the winter...
I don't ride when there is salt on the streets, or ice...
