1st gen seat trim with the swoop shown on top, 2nd gen slab of plastic seat trim shown at the bottom.

the Scooter has a 2nd gen frame, but i can use anything i want, so is there really a monumental decision involved that couldn't be timed with a stopwatch? nah, didn't think so, the swoop wins. i'm also using 1st gen tank trim even though the frame and tank are 2nd gen, it's much tidier than the 2nd gen and also mates with the 1st gen seat trim. the mounts are all the same, and it's convenient that these parts can be swapped around to suit what you're after, in this case, a nice clean look. i've considered it, but there's too much stuff that hides behind these trim pieces for a plastic delete to be an option for my bikes.
the 1st and 2nd gen seats are the same, so the swoop fits the curve of the seat pan while mounted to the 2nd gen frame. i'm big on indexing and alignment, and the bottom of this seat trim will align with the exposed subframe tube. the upper mount has yet to be designed, it has to interface with other assemblies, but it's not a big issue, eventually everything will tie together.
