Thanks is all I can give to our veterans today. A heartfelt thanks for those that gave, and those that give now to keep our great country free.

Whenever I look back at pictures of the two great wars, I shudder to think what those great men gave up and suffered , on both sides...

I cannot even begin to imagine what they went through from the trenches of WWI to the warfare of WWII - and willingly too, with no thought for their own lives.
I cannot imagine having the same valour if I was ever called upon to do what they did, and look back on these images with a great sadness but also with pride at what they did so that we might love freely.

It is also a great shame to see how many people of today take that freedom so for granted that was won at such cost to so many.

Soldiers - I salute you.

Thank you for allowing me to breathe the free air of this country!!!

I found this on Youtube, it is why we should thank our vetrans.

It is the Veteran, not the community organizer, who has given us freedom to assemble.

It is the Veteran, not the reporter, who has given us freedom of the press.

It is the Veteran, not the preacher, who has given us freedom of religion.

It is the Veteran, not the lawyer, who has given us the right to a fair trial.

It is the Veteran, not the politician, who has given us the right to vote.

It is the Veteran, not the poet, who has given us freedom of speech.

I think this also says it very well!!!

A Veteran is someone, who at one point in their life, wrote a blank check payable to the United States of America for an amount up to, and including, their life. That is beyond honor, and there are far too many people in this country who no longer remember that fact. Or respect it. So, today (and every chance you get) be sure to thank a Veteran.

Veterans Creative Arts Festival on (PBS) WNED Buffalo.
Those with TIVO or time shift tv may still be able to catch it. Very good time/show! All Vets. Was on at 3pm.
