Twisted Throttle confirms that the SW Motech Skid Plate and Hepco Becker Crash Bars are not compatible.

Does anyone have any first hand information as to why?

If they don't fit, how much fabrication would it take to make it work?

Without ever seeing either, it would stand to reason that making it fit would be easier than starting from scratch with a home made skid plate.

Any ideas and suggestions are welcome and appreciated.

Thanks

They will NOT fit! The H-B crash bars have parts that conflict with the mounts for the S-W Motech skid-plate. I ended up selling my H-Bs to a lister, and bought S-Ws instead, so all wasn't lost!

On my pics, note in the first WHERE the H-B attaches to the engine mount (above the bar), then compare it to the second and you can see as the S-W attaches below putting the two pieces in conflict.
