Win some, loose some, that's the way it goes. NZ were the most represented nation with the most competitors/shorecrew/builders, ( had to get that in). Well done Oracle. Well done Larry for staging such an event. Hope next time there is an expenditure cap, and all boats built the same, that way we may see a few more teams competing and it will down to the sailing team to win, not the most expensive and fastest boat.
But thats America's cup racing.
Well done.

ps South Islanders don't know how to commit suicide, no pressure down there. Don't give him any tips.

Haha, got home from work at 7.30 am this morn, so set harddrive to record race starting just after 8am as was to tired after 12 hrs and got up at lunch time but had stuffed up recording, went to web site tv on demand but there was a photo with Team USA holding a Champaign bottle so that saved me the pain of watching.

Weathers getting warmer so enough of yachting its time to ride sally ride.

Sorry for all the Dorklanders I mean Aucklanders that planned of having cup in the city as they drink their cappuccinos but us south islanders are going to hunt some orc :D

No need for suicide watch

After a couple of good glasses of great Kiwi red, enjoying start of 4 days off, enjoying the awesome spring weather it looks like I will live :p

Thank's for the concern from way across the huge pond.

Isn't Ben Ainslie a Brit, so does that mean we can grab a bit of the limelight?
http://www.foxnews.com/world/2013/09/26/ainslie-fulfils-ambition-with-oracle-cup-win/

Not to put a dampener on an absolutely fabulous event, if say England where playing NZ at football (not likely to happen, but) all the English squad would have Brit connections/relatives as would the New Zealanders

So why did a minority of Yanks in a boat with a majority of foreigners (being married to a Yank doesn't turn an Aussie into a Ham Shank (Yank),
so why isn't it conducted like most other Inter-National sporting events, or is there just not enough talent in a country of 300+million in habitants to fill a bloody boat?....& as someone has already said, bring back equal racing where money doesn't dominate this once great sporting event!
