Painting the V

I'm thinking about painting mine as well. I took it Friday to a local body shop and the guy said it would run about $600. This includes several different coats and a clear (House of Kolor paint). I don't know if you want to tackle this with spray cans. Maybe I'm wrong. You might want to check with a local body shop and see what they say.

Don't do it you will be sorry. It will need to be done professionally for a good quality job. Have a body shop give you a quote. You can strip the parts and take them in. A single stage paint would be great, look awesome and be less expensive. I am in the business and have been around body shops for years, most people have no idea of what it takes to put out a professional job that will last.

Chazz... yep I am gonna take it in. Seems like too much work and I don't have a dust free area. Outdoors, one is asking for sh*t to get all over the paint. And indoors isn't much better.

A good body shop will have state of the art side or down draft paint booths. They will be able to cure the paint inside the booth and eliminate most all trash. If they get trash in the paint it will be sanded and buffed out. We give lifetime warranties on our paint work and I believe most good shops do the same. GOOD LUCK!
