Hi,

I was wondering if the stock windshield heigh is satisfactory.
I have a madstad on my ninja 650r, but that was not enough so I raised it by about 4 inches.
I have read the thread here http://www.kawasakiversys.com/forums/11-modifications-cosmetic/87002-2015-versys-madstad-windshield-system-now-available-2.html but it's not clear if the stock would be fine for me (although I expect not wide enough).

Any measurements to help? For instance, looking above the stock windshield, how close ahead can you see (provide your height and inseam please.)

Thanks!

Very subjective indeed. Only way you will be able to tell is to sit on both bikes and see where the windshield hits your line of sight.

I prefer the wind to be below my chest so my helmet is in the clean air, or way over my head like I am in a convertible. Anything else brings with it some form of buffeting.

I use the Zero Gravity Touring Windshield and the MRA X-Creen Sport Windscreen spoiler Blade. This puts the wind over my head and I have no buffeting. This is the cleanest air I've ever ridden in and is MY perfect setup, but as everyone knows, windshield setup is sooo personal that only your setup will be right for you.
