Hi
Ok...Here's My First Post.
I've Just Bought A 2008 Versys 650 With A Seat Lowering Kit Fitted. I Removed The Kit And Restored The Bike To It's Original Height, Simple Enough. The problem Now Is That The Bike Now Seems To Lean Way To Far Over When On The Stand. I'm Thinking Someone Has Shortened The Stand To Match The Lowering Kit, It Now Measures 240Mm From The GroundTo The Centre Of The Mounting Bolt. Is This The Standard Lenth?
Thanks
P.s. Sorry About The Capital Letters Everywhere....My Tablet Seem To Have A Mind Of Its Own! :-(

The manufacturer of the lowering kit recommends shortening the side stand, sounds like that was done on yours. I'm not sure if there's a remedy, but you may need to order a new one if it's a problem.

The reduction in length for Lowering kit is around 3/4 to 1 inches. So if your weld extend you stand to somewhere between the figures you should be good.

Thanks everyone for your help. Think I'll try and get another stand from a breaker, then I can sell the lowering kit + stand as a complete package.
Once again THANKS.
