Hi,
Rear caliper was seized enough that I could hear rubbing while in motion. Bike still seemed to roll normally with clutch in, but rotor got too hot to touch after a few blocks.
I rebuilt the caliper with all new rubber. Piston was perfect, but I cleaned it and everything else anyway. Put it all back together with brake lube where indicated in the shop manual. New pads, as old ones were prematurely worn. Replaced brake fluid. Problem is still identical to before.
What should I try next? Any ideas?
(2017 Versys650 ABS. Kept in heated garage, very dry climate, low humidity.)
Thanks everyone.
