Ok everyone, (at least those of you interested) I'm setting up a ride that will start in Royse City Tx. (East of Dallas just past Rockwall) and end up at the century old iron bridge that crosses the TX-Ok border South of Durant. It's about 1 1/2 to a 2 hour ride up there, depending on riders.

We'll meet at the Hot Rodz cafe in Royse City at 8:00 am, have some breakfast and leave for the ride somewhere 8:45-9:00. You are welcome to join us along the way or jump off along the way if you can't meet at the Hot Rodz Cafe for breakfast. After we reach the old Iron Bridge you are on your own as to where you want to go. The Choctaw Casino is about a 20 minute ride from the bridge if you are interested.

We'll stop a couple of places along the way as well as take a short detour thru some of the small historic towns along the route so be sure bring your cameras. Also be sure and be prepared for some hot weather. I think it is suppose to push 100 on Saturday, but that's in the afternoon.

I've attached a map to the Hot Rodz Cafe and one of the actual route so If you have any questions, please let me know.

We'll probably get there around 11:30 or so and you can split anytime you want to of course. I'll be returning to Royse City but I don't know how many if any are going that way.

Once at the bridge - i wouldn't mind finding a place to eat (drive around a bit) then head back.
Since i am from Mansfield (So. Arlington), i wouldn't mind heading over and down to 377 maybe around Lake Ray Roberts, go south from there and over Lake Lewisville (east side), then mosey on home from there?
I don't have a time limit to be home Sat. I am up for anything

Just a not on the Hot Rodz cafe. When you get there, there is MC parking on the West side of the building on the corner. There are diagonal lines there and if that's full there is plenty of parking in back or on the main Street.

Also, after we get to the bridge everyone is on their own so you can continue to ride with whomever you choose or go your own way. I haven't decide what I'll do yet, but I'll probably head back to the homestead as I have a project for the Versys in the works and I'm trying to tie up loose ends. More on this later.

McCrappiekiller, I don't know of any places to eat in that area around the bridge as it is pretty well out in the country and about 20 miles from anything. I'll do some leg work and see what I can come up with and keep you posted. The nearest place would be in Dennison to the West. That 120 road that goes that way has some nice twisties. Here's a map from the Bridge to Dennison.

No, not sleeping much. Too much on my mind and I can't seem to slow it down but it's been that way all my life so I just have to live with it. I do get kind of grumpy sometime though!

I would like to say that is was great meeting MrCrappie and DallasDon. I told yall I would be there. Just not 45 minutes late. LOL I am glad I was able to catch up yall up in Denison. We need to do a ride between Dallas, Collage Station and Waco. Maybe be an over nighter under the stars. I know there are some good winding roads down there.

Nice ride Don. The bridge was pretty cool. Way out in the sticks, what a find. You picked a good place to ride!

Craig-Roger-Stephen-Les. Y'all should have come along. Maybe next time?
