I would like to know if the 2010 engine mounts can be fitted to the 2009 versys anybody looked into this yet:yeahsmile:

It's just the upper rear mount that uses four rubber bushings on the 2010. The 2006-2009 Versys frame would have to be adapted to fit the bushings. You can see the bushing (#92092) placement on 2009 Ninja 650R parts diagram, compared to 2009 Versys. The new frame diagram is barely changed, as you can see the new bushing housings drawn over original design:

You could also replace your frame with the revised 2010 version for just over $1000 plus labor, as soon as the 2010 part numbers are out.

Invader, it doesen't look like it, but do you know if the swingarm is changed at all? When the Ninja and ER6n went to the rubber engine mount, Kawasaki increased the stiffness of the swingarm to compensate for increased frame flex. Judging from the design though, our swingarm is probably as stiff as it gets anyway. Also, it appears the suspension components are a carryover, which is good, because the mountains of discussion on suspension issues over the last couple of years will also apply to 2010.

No changes to the Versys suspensions, as well as the swingarm which is already more rigid than on original Ninja/ER6... Looking at the parts diagrams, the -2009 Versys upper rear engine mount bung surfaces could be simply drilled out and ground down a bit to allow installing the four rubber bushings. Kawasaki part # 92092-0021 ($5.40 each). :rolleyes: It's starting to sound like an interesting winter project, although it would require removing and reinstalling engine. :thumbdown:
