I've searched and found lots of info on how well people like the 2" Rox Risers. But no one has addressed whether they can be used with the stock cables. I might assume that they don't mention it because it's not a problem. But I just want to be sure. Can anyone provide input or experience? They're going to go on my new-to-me 2018 V1K.

Thank you.

They worked on my 2016 1000 but the brake hose is really tightly stretched. Hasn't been a problem. That was the only issue.
I saw that the brake hose, at the brake reservoir (handlebar) can be very lightly loosened *so as not to admit air into the line) and rotated downward about 30 degrees. Can you tell me if you did that and it's STILL tight, or is it tight based on the original position of the hose coming out of the reservoir?

Last March I installed 2” Rod risers on my 2019 V650 with no cable problems.

The one issue I had is that the riser stems are very smooth and tended to slip inside the handlebar clamps. I placed a little blue Loctite on each riser, clamped them into place, and had no further slippage.
