Hey all,

I just wanted to take a minute to let you know about a mapping resource I've been using for just a couple of weeks.

www.ridewithgps.com

It is a route creation site, which includes turn-by-turn directions, elevations and such. They're also working on integration with Garmin units.

A basic account is free and worth checking out, in my opinion. :goodidea:

Here's a sample of a short ride I'll be taking this weekend...

Anyway, I hope you find the app useful. The guys who developed it are from my home state (don't know either of them personally!). Let me know what you think!

That's pretty interesting.

I've been using Google Maps and then transforming them using GMapToGPX script that's been referenced here before. I then just copy it to my Garmin, import the route, and I'm set.

Nevertheless, that site seems better. I might try it out the next time I need to plan a route.

Thanks.
