Was searching for recalls and TSB’s for my car and stumbled across some useful info from National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). Please note this is for products sold in the USA.

To search for recalls:
https://www.nhtsa.gov/recalls

All that is needed is the VIN and/or year/make/model.

Examples of recalls:

https://www.nhtsa.gov/vehicle/2012/KAWASAKI/KLE650CCFL#recalls - 2012 Versys foot peg circlip

https://www.nhtsa.gov/vehicle/2017/KAWASAKI/VERSYS#recalls - 2017 Versys X300 - loose tail/brake light

See the consumer reports web site for how to get the TSB’s from the NHTSA website.

https://www.consumerreports.org/car-repair-maintenance/how-to-get-a-technical-service-bulletin-tsb-for-free/

Kind of depressing to see how many recalls/TSB’s there are for my car ☹

Nah ... 2016 Chevy Malibu. Lot's and lot's of TSB's! Actually a comfortable car to drive with decent gas mileage. Just got the car back from service at the dealer. Engine light indicated some kind of weird code that necessitated the engine control module needed to be re-flashed. That's a new one to me!
