i've searched...and i've 'read' the latest 17 pages here.

I have a brand new front and rear tires for my Conny i just traded in. My rear tire is a 190/55. the manual for the Versys calls for a 180/55.

has anyone used a 190 on a V1000?

"I put @ 375 miles on it today after the initial debacle.

Turn in and side to side transition was definitely quickened...but it's now almost too responsive (almost feels twitchy). I'll give it a couple more rides to determine if I like it or not.

Speedo error was reduced. I checked the speedo versus the GPS at 10 mph increments from 20 - 90 mph. The speedo was consistently reading 2 mph fast at each speed."

"I removed it not long after I tried it. The narrower rim causes the tread profile to be more of a "U" shape. It would be fine for straight-up commuting or interstate use, but I wouldn't recommended it for attacking the curvy stuff."

My 190/55 Experiment...
