I just filled my bike up and was on the city streets going 35-40 in 6th gear and my range meter got up to 294 miles. I have never had a bike that had a range meter but most bikes only get about 200 miles on a tank, so it was kind of cool to see 294 mile range. I'm sure the computer is very optimistic, and I was going slow in 6th, but it was still kind of cool to see this kind of range. I wouldn't doubt if I would get close to 250 mile range doing the nice 45-55 mph back roads.

I have seen a range of 400-500 miles on a previously owned Honda ST1300 and BMW R1200GS Adventure..buy fuel at high elevation and start riding downhill. The best seen range on my X 300 has been around 250 miles.

I often see a range available of 300+..........I rode Interstate (70-80 mph) and got 250 miles before I filled. Only took four gallons which on my 15' 650 leaves 1.5 gallons. I rode the last 50 miles with the low fuel light on but I do believe that 300 would be do-able. I just don't think I'll take the chance.

My wife and I went for a nice easy 40 mile ride in 35-45 mph country roads and we averaged 67 mpg. I was kind of surprised since we are 2 up and it is only a 300cc bike. I get more and more impressed with this 300cc bike and my wife even said it was very quiet and smooth. But both of our butts were sore after that ride. I should be getting my Kaw high seat in on Tuesday so we will see how that does. If that doesn't work I will probably get the Corbin, like I had on my CTX700. It was a great seat.

So far the highest range on my instrument panel is around 224-227 miles, but I've never actually ridden the bike until the light went on, I always get my tank filled up at the bottom quarter so I don't know the true range.
