I just completed my first oil change (new owner) on my 2008 Versys. I just put on the new K&N filter (not dry, I filled it with some oil) and put in 2 quarts of T6 Rotella. After restarting and letting the bike idle for 3 minutes I shut it off and let stand for 5 minutes. Then I checked the oil level on a flat/level surface. The oil level shows just a hair above the upper mark. So my question is, do I need to take out some oil, or is it fine where it's at.

Thanks so much!

I wouldn't worry about it at "just a hair above the top line", as long as it's NOT a thick hair.

mine took almost 2 and 1/2 quarts to bring it even with the top line. I did spend some time leaning it in both directions to get extra oil out of it though.

I think you are ok! :thumb: Really easy to suction some out if you are worried. :thumb: ;)
