This was my first overnight trip on the V. Sadly the weather wasn't great the first two days so camping was wet and miserable.

To be honest this was my final time camping. I have never liked it even when I was a kid. It's real beds & AC for me from now on.

If you live near Arkansas I can really recommend Mt. Nebo state park. An amazing road leads to it and the views are wonderful.

Here are some pics on flickr.

No I don't mind at all. I think with the right tires and set up it's a go almost anywhere kind of bike. I was ridiculously overloaded. Getting on was a scary operation as I had to stand on one peg and clamber over and I have limited mobility in my right leg and would keep on getting my foot stuck on the seat! Almost pushed it over a few times.

Well I'll never be that loaded down again. I'm simply too used to a comfortable life to camp again. ;)

I feel like I have been on that road before. I have been to Eureka springs twice. ZRX ralley and last year we led a group of 22 for 5 days through that part of Arkansas. Highway 7 was great.

I believe it was 155 and it only goes to Mt Nebo. That switchback curve is one of about ten on the road - you REALLY have to slow down and crank your neck round as you are pretty well doing a U-turn up a steep gradient - like tha famous road in San Francisco. Wacky.
