Need help from those who have a full GIVI hardbag setup:

I already have the topcase from Givi using the Monorack 451FZ for my 2011 versys.

I am considering sideracks (PLR450), but when looking at the installation instructions, it says that you have to relocate the blinkers.

Does anyone know if it is 100% required to relocate the blinkers? Will they literally get in the way, or will the view just be a bit obstructed?

I ask because I feel that if I have to relocate them: a) I dont really want to
and b) as some point I would like to get a fender eliminator.

I have a 2011 also and the 450 racks on the side. You don't have to relocate them, BUT I did. I think it brings them out farther so they aren't hidden by the cases when on the bike. For me the fact they were inset so far with the racks on was definitely something I didn't like.

From a safety standpoint I'd recommend it. From an asthetic standpoint I actually like them moved back also. I don't like fender eliminators so I am very biased. I haven't even sliced off the long tail in the back because for me it works.

Mike, thanks for the feedback. For some reason your top rack setup looks different than mine... ill have to look into that.. what model did you get?

I have a slightly modified KTMduals rack (thread that is linked also contains information).

KTMDuals took my 450kit grab rails and cut them off and added them to his rear rack. I don't know if he would want to go through the trouble of it again, but I am supremely happy he attempted it for me. The entire setup is modular at this point so I can run with out side racks or with them and the bags are all removable with one key. The only piece I can't remove with ease is the rear rack and frankly I like it too much to remove it anyway, so I always run with the rear rack on.

Several shops in my area have been very interested in the rack setup and all I do is refer them to that thread and explain a very patient and talented man helped me get it done.

Also, some people relocated the lights high and some people flipped the brackets and mounted them low. I'm in the high crowd.
I am bit confused now, because it looks like if you dont relocate them they will hit the side luggage, which is what I am trying to determine really.
