I've added some more pix to the page from the back roads of the North Carolina mountains. A lot them - well, actually most of them - show the ol' Ninja rather than the new KawasiMoto, but those rides are what led to me choosing the Vee as my next ride. At any rate, for those of you who don't live here in the southern mountains, but enjoy visiting, perhaps you will spot something that offers some ideas that are off the beaten path. Don't get me wrong - I love the Dragon, or at least the camaraderie and good food at Deals Gap - but to local riders, the Dragon is just one of many superb rides, and is also one of the most crowded. Over the coming season, I want to cover the rides that my buddies and I have done in our mountain paradise. Hope that it helps out if you're planning a trip to the region, and if nothing else, perhaps you'll enjoy the photos of my home turf.

Love the foothills

beautiful pics. thanks for sharing. I live in Greenville, SC and I love the mountains. Can't wait for spring!!
The region below the Blue Wall has been a lifesaver for me this winter, allowing me to get in rides comfortably when it's too cold up here in the hills. The rolling hill country below the mountains in South Carolina are one of the great undiscovered secrets of the southeast - great twisty roads, a lot of old country stores, friendly people, light traffic, and then there are the peach orchards in springtime - it doesn't get much better than that.
It looks like there are a lot of us Versys owners in this region - I'm seeing more and more of them on my daily rides.
