NZ (All Blacks) beat France in rugby union at the world cup and my favourite rugby league team the NZ Warriors is in the grand final of the Australian competition next week as well both warriors junior grade teams are in finals so the club has three teams all in the finals of the Aust competition .

Only got a couple hours sleep last night so a long day at work today but this is one happy sports fan.
Even if most of you do not understand the rules you understand sports passion.

No pad or helmets here guys but we do allow a mouth guards but make sure you wear the correct world cup approved mouth guard or you will be fined like Samoa $10,000 for wearing a different brand and that's more than those boys get paid each for the whole of the world cup, stupid rules run by some English gits in the northern hemisphere.

Yep Buckeye last man standing wins and no stopping game for TV, play even carries on sometimes around injured players.

I got to watch the All Blacks play Canada today on NBC. It is an interesting sport. I enjoyed watching it even though I do not understand all of the rules.

I am surprised that more players do not wear head protection - as evidenced in the game today (assuming it was actually played today). Brain injury is not necessarily "manly."

Some of the Argentina players wore padded head gear, and one dude had an ice bag plastic wrapped to his belly.

A bit too much hugging and butt grabbing to be considered a real manly sport, indeed.

All Blacks to play Argentina in quarter finals, Aust play South Africa, England play France and Ireland play Wales.
I actually prefer Rugby League and the two codes have been in opposition for over a 120 years. Used to play league myself and it is closer to the American football in some ways as you have 6 tackles before possession changes and it more full frontal hits and that's why i used to wear my shoulder pads under my top and some guys do wear head gear because of sometimes you get taken out with a high shot from a outstretched arm

Go Northern Hemispherans! Stop the Antipodean threat!

Given the nations involved, I figured an American Civil War North-vs-South reference was inappropriate.

May the best team win.

Haha it will be a southern team win as they are saying the winner of the NZ-Aust clash will win the world rugby cup as they are the top two teams.

Go the mighty All Blacks, they better win or a little country will never recover and end up a a 3rd world economy as we all sink into depression. ;)

Aust v Whales played off for 3rd place, Aust won.

Bring on final on sunday night NZ against the French, will be sitting down to my wifes homemade burgers, my new fad apple or pear cider. Its been 24 years since NZ won the first world cup so a long time between drinks, the country will stop sunday night and if all goes to plan party the rest of the week
