Does anyone have a tip on how to get a replacement OEM turn signal back into a new fender? I removed the steel plate behind but am struggling to get the stem back into the fender. It flexes a bit but defeated my muscles. I don’t want to apply too much force. Should I install first on cowling, then attach cowling to bike, or attach cowling, then try to insert turn signal?

heat up the stalk with hair dryer, will be more flexible.
insert the back side first, completely in.
it's like a tire where you need to use the drop center to have enough room.

honestly, they are over designed.
never use the 4 steel plates again.

And if the front still doesn't want to go in, I wouldn't hesitate to shave the last bit that refuses to drop in.
Definitely use both hands, pinching and pressing from both sides.

Possibly easier when fairing is off, but having the bike holding it is nice too.

Thanks. I also used a tiny bit of lithium grease. Problem solved. Hope this thread comes handy for someone else.
