I rode The Cabot Trail in 2014 on a Vstrom 650. It's an amazing experience. I suggest riding it CCW so you have the ocean right next to you. Somewhere I have a helmet video from that day. I'll try to dig it up.

I rode it several times, and 'locals' suggested that riding it CW was the SAFEST as that gives you a whole lane BEFORE you go sliding over the cliff and down (a LONG ways...) if you mis-judge!

It's not that dangerous, most do it CCW.

How were the winds when you were up here? Yesterday I almost got blown of the road twice and that’s not Cabot Trail, that’s just the road headed south to Lunenburg.
Today I found out that I need to replace my chain and both sprockets. 😕 I guess that at just over 12,000 miles I should have expected this. The bike has been surging as I go down the road. I took it to OCR Motorsports and the chain has a really bad tight spot, hence the surging. Trying to source parts from Halifax. There are worse places than Lunenburg to be stuck for a day or two.

You got about 2k more miles than my stock chain. Good luck with the remote swap out 👍🏻
