Hey to all and thanks for having me on board.
Put a deposit on a 2015 LT1000 today. 6k Miles on it for about $7k plus whatever MV fees etc. Looks in good shape. Rubber is good but the chain looks black and dry like it was never lubed since purchased or at least for a while.

PO put a Corbin seat on this thing and it feels very comfy in the showroom at least.
Few things I am wondering but will search the tech area first and look around. Coming over from a VStrom 650 which is great but I am tired of spending cash trying to make it comfortable...give me a few days before you tell me the LT has its own comfort issues if they exist..please.
Thanks for the great forum

Hard to say what's "comfortable". Everyone's different. The first thing on my 650 was to get a new seat, yet others seem to be fine with their stock. Risers, seat, highway pegs, etc...it will all depend on the rider's preferences.

weljo2001 I don't know what I envy more the places you are showing or the meals you guys eat. Here on the Jersey Shore I have access to the Catskills and Delaware Water Gap which are nice. Your bike looks nice, I really like the looks of the 1000 without the big hard cases though they should be handy for longer rides. Thanks Much for the welcome to all as well!

I'm lucky I'm just 20 minutes or less from the ocean and about an hour from the mountains....I've never cared for side cases because i always scuff them up getting on and off the bike plus we get to lane split out here so i like the bike as slim as possible. I have a large topcase (55 litre) to carry stuff in and to put my helmet and gear when stopped.

Picked up the 2015 1000 today. This bike is a beast compared to my V 650 that I traded. No more whacking the throttle wide open and seeing what happens on this bike. Controlled throttle needed or havoc ensues. May take a while to get used to the I4 again, it just seems to want to go at any rpm. I need to learn to ride again after that calm 650 twin. Easy does it for now. Thanks Guys!

IF I remember correctly, seems to me that the V650 will accelerate pretty much w/ a new Corvette. That is "calm" to you?
