I am not changing the gearing ratio, but I see the rear sprocket as a chance to add some visual flair. I am not considering aluminum. Also, bonus points for any Canadian based sources. Thanks!

I did find these hybrid sprockets that seem pretty interesting, but nothing for the Versys-X. I can't find any other brands doing hybrids.

Try SuperSprox Stealth sprockets. Alloy centre with steels tooth ring. The Ninja 300 or Yamaha R6 (03-16) models fit the X-300. Remember to get 520 pitch.

They look cool & save some weight, but last as long as steel ones. I’ll be fitting one when the stock steel one wears out.

Have fun.

Mohawk, thanks for the reply. Good suggestion, but I got a bit antsy over the weekend and ordered a Driven Racing rear sprocket. Not quite as premium, but lighter and nicer aesthetics than stock.
