I got my Givi Windshield in today and got it mounted in minutes (of course). I know it's been said a million times by others, but OH YEAH! No more bobble head on my V! I took a short ride at higway speeds to really make sure it wasn't all in my head. Windstream is now right at the top of my helmet, with the screen on the second to top setting on '09 V windshield mount. I even had to try it without the helmet to FEEL the difference- No more watery eyes. I might try it at the highest position for longer highway travel, but for now, I'm just ecstatic that I got my Givi!

Thanks to all who have had any input on windshields on this forum.

Can you get a picture up of your new Givi mounted?

Not sure how tall you sit in the saddle, the Givi didn't stop the buffeting for me.

I ended up drilling a couple of extra mounting holes and raised the sheild another inch and a half. Much better for me.

Your right hand guard will most likely hit the wing section on the Givi, mine are hitting my Givi and I've tried with and without 1" riser, rolled the bars down as far as possible, the right handguard still hits the windscreen.

If you want to be able to adjust 'on the fly', add a Madstad bracket to that. I have the Givi and the Madstad and having the ability to move the windscreen around is a great feature. I move mine up a little higher when I hit the highways and then lower it for around town.

WannaRideVersys, the bike which you have shown here tats really very fantastic looking. As I like that too much. The more thing that I want to say that I like plastic coated which you have shown in the second pic thats really very nice. As I really like your that idea to keep that for your safety.

Here is mine -Givi with DIY laminar lip.

No more ear plug needed, but will use anyway to protect my ears.
Full lock it knocks the hand guard but can be fine tuned.

:D Happy man here.

Installed a givi screen today and it makes a HUGE difference.

Barkbusters are coming. I'll have to just trim the wings off the screen so the guards clear.

Thanks Jake!!

ive got a madstad bracket and givi on the way - cant wait to get them on.

hey fastoman, does that laminar lip work ok for you ? it seems like it would be more "stuff" in your line of sight. (or is it actually below?) that and the added resistance seems like it would tend to flicker around at higher speeds. but i like the idea of not having too much plastic out front - i hate looking through windshields if i can help it. just trade offs i guess - thanks in advance :thumb:
