Hey there!

Just got a 2008 Versys a week ago from private party. 10K miles. I love it!!
Using it for daily commute in Seattle, WA area (yes - in the rain!)

This is my first time owning a street legal motorcycle (rode a lot of motocross as a kid). I just upgraded from a souped up little 2-stroke scooter moped, so this is a world of difference obviously :) Just got my MC endorsement as well.

I'm 39, so I guess a mid life crisis is about on time, hehe...
Anyways - here it is:

Previous owner had modified the following [not sure what most of it even means or if it's anything cool or not]:

- Custom leather saddle from Rich’s Seats
- Continental Road Attack tires installed at 4,195 miles
- Stainless steel braided brake lines front and rear
- Ermax rear wheel hugger
- Fender eliminator/turn signal/license plate frame kit
- OEM black wheels - not painted
- OEM black pivot and radiator body panels - not painted

---

Glad to have found this forum - seems great!

Sincerely,

/// Martin

:-D thanks all. It's a red one - the picture must have some weird color shift.
Yeah, the saddle is very comfy - but then again - I don't have anything to compare to really

It also has black wheels and frame covers. Great looking V you got there!:welcome:
Oh yeah that's right, he did mention that that was "OEM, and not painted". Added it to the list of modifications.
Yes it's truly beautiful. (The only thing I have mixed emotions about is that he had removed all the "Kawasaki Versys" stickers.)

But then again - all the Versys are beautiful. Especially the 2010s!

Thanks all for the warm welcome!

Howdy Neighbor! I was looking at that bike before i got mine!
We all should get together and go over diablo pass one of these days. It would be great twisty ride to fall in love with your versys on. I commute the West Snoqualmie valley road on mine everyday. (why I bought it.)

Welcome aboard, Martin. You will definitely enjoy your Versys. The previous owner did some nice work, enjoy it. And they ride quite nicely in the rain to be sure.

Try the Sultan Bakery, even a little further out (and make sure to take Ben Howard Rd). Great food and great ride.

HAven't heard of that pass - and yes I'd be down for a Seattle-V get-together.
How do we get a hold of everyone?

Its the north Cascades hiway. You take hiway 9 all the way to concrete. Then go over the pass. I havent been over it on the versys, but it would be a blast! Ben Howard is run, so is high bridge dr.
