it looks strange, more like a KLR than versys?!
I'm thinking at a Ninja 300 for my wife next year, but a Versys 300 would be even better..... but not looking like this...:(
Seems mis-named. Maybe KLR 300 would have been a more accurate descriptor. I like it, I just don't see the relationship to the V beyond the fact that both have parallel twins.

The swing arm is kind of lame compared to the cool shaped one we have on the 650's. Although, it would be less of an eye sore if they could price it under $4k.

the 300 gets all the stuff the 650 owners didn't. including a thingie...

I dropped over into Kawiville to see what all the fuss was about, and noticed first thing that the Mini Versys has a center stand. and a gear indicator.
Whilst cruising the "Picture Gallery" of said Mini Versys I also noticed a Mini Versys picture of a thing.

God knows I've wanted a Mini Versys thingie like that forever! If I could only figure out what the hell it is...

I think it's the ABS modulator.

I want one.

Maybe I could just go on a diet.

Same effect......

:smile2::smile2::smile2:
Loading in the truck and riding down the road are important to me.

KLX250s. Under 300lbs wet
Versys 300 abs 375 lbs wet
Yamaha FZ07 400 lbs wet.

Yamaha wins this one.

If I didn't already have the other two, I would take serious look at the Versys 300.

My last 'serious' dirt bike was an '82 (I think...?) CanAm Qualifier 400: 240#, 12" suspension on BOTH ends, about 50HP, and would "ford" around 36" of water.

It would "do" about 105mph in fifth gear...!

AND I could PICK it up when it decided to 'take-a-rest'...!

I got to sit on one at the NY motorcycle show. Didn't feel heavy (though no gas in the tank will have that effect), and felt kinda "small" (Not in a good way, kinda cramped). I'd give one a test ride...
