Hi from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada (yes, it's a mouthful!)

I've been on the Versys forum since way back when I owned my '07 650, but I picked up a Versys X a few weeks ago and so I'm new to this section.

First off - LOVE the X so far! Way better than I expected, and more bike than what I paid for. Faster than I expected and can pull on the highway better than I'd hoped. I'm impressed.

Heading to small displacement partly to increase the number of bikes in my stable. Insurance here in Sask. is ridiculous in that prices increase dramatically over 400 cc. We are forced to buy from our government provider only for any base auto insurance, so we can't shop around for reduced rates. As an example, a 2019 DRZ400 has a 398 cc motor, and is $70 per month to plate. Increase it to 401 cc and the price goes to $174 per month! That's expensive, so staying under 400 cc is definitely an advantage if you can manage it.

Thanks to everyone who contributes info to this forum, and runs the forum. It is helpful to have a resource such as this. Hope to see at least some of you on the road sometime!
