Hello,

Just bought a new 2016 Versys 1000LT yesterday and have started the research on future modifications and maintenance (found this forum during my research).

I'm retired and 60-years old. I started riding street when I turned 18-years old.
First new bike purchase was a Kawasaki H2 (widow maker)
had loads of fun on that bike and scared to death at times. Raced dirt bikes (hare scrambles, cross-country, enduro's, motocross) since young.

Had mainly sports bikes though out the years until I bought a Yamaha FJR back in 2008. The bike was t-boned and totaled in the summer of 2015. I just can't retire from riding so I decided a Versys would fit the bill for re-starting my addiction.
Look forward to learning and meeting people on this forum.

Cool, but I avoid riding at night if possible.

I ordered a 12V power socket, gear indicator, givi rack and trunk, bar risers, oil filter and gaskets. Spending like crazy and have only 75-miles on it. I need to so some long rides to get the break-in over.

Bike seems geared low, may go with a 16-tooth front sprocket? Should be enough chain length? Thanks for the heads-up.
