Hi all, :)

I'm looking for a bike that's supermoto flicakable fun and runs smoother than a big bore single on the highway for longer rides. I have a well set up DR650 supermoto conversion that is a blast to ride around town and the local twisties. It's just not an all day rider at my age. Looking at the 2014-2015 Versys 650 and the Yamaha FZ09. The FZ09 has taller bars but I think the FZ pegs might be too high and too far back for all day comfort for my aging frame. The Versys seat/peg/bar relationship is the closest thing to a standard I've seen in a long time.

I don't know if the Versys is supermoto flicakable fun but it is pretty nimble with the 17" front. AND it can be made comfortable for longer rides with a few mods depending on your height. I'd suggest finding a used 08-09ish model on the cheap and see what you think. Then IF you like it move up to a V2 or V3.

:welcome: My 69 year old frame likes the V's ergonomics. The days of high & rear placed foot pegs are over and I don't miss them!
