I just installed a leo vince slip on. this pipe is just what the bike needed. not too loud, just right. 30 mile ride to check it out. my first thoughts are,
less vibration.
more roll on power in the 4500 to 7500 rpm range.
less felt heat on knees.
this was well worth the money.
last two pics are red bulbs in turn signals and steel braided lines for the bike. will install lines in am.

Looks fantastic! Everyone told me to get a Leo Vince but I had yet to see one, would you be able to put a good sound/video clip so we can hear it in action?

Well, the line install was not too bad.
brakes are less spongy. was it worth it?
had to do over I still would buy them.
leo vince exhaust just what was needed.

the video is without the db killer.
this clip is what sold me on the leo.
way-WAY quiet with dbk installed.
infact so much so that I changed mine alittle.
update on ss lines. best mod for the bike so far.
BTW, removing the dbk also removes the 6 lbs torque gained in the mid-range.

I like the Leo exhaust, I watched one sell CHEAP on Ebay a month or so ago. I put a TBR CF can on my bike, it's also way too loud w/o the insert. With the insert it's not too bad, but definitely makes noise when you get on it. I like it. I can also feel a big difference down low in the revs, pulls much better from 2k where the bike would bog and sputter in higher gears with the OE exhaust. Roll on wheelies are much easier now.

Good to know about the SS lines. I hopped on my dirt bike today and it's amazing how much feel the brakes have on my Husky (Brembos).

Still no joy on the CF Arrow can...supposed to be in by one more week...more importantly, my friend that got a V with me acouple of months back had a wreck and just got his bike back from the shop...just glad he's ok.

I'll let you guys know when I get the Arrow in ASAP!

I was almost ready to order the TBR exhaust when I saw this thread. So, I listened to that youtube clip and talked with my buddy who's been into bikes for 20 years and decided to go with the LeoVince. Just ordered it in Titanium earlier today for a total cost with shipping of $499.00.

Some lady almost changed lanes into me this morning on my way to work. That's what put me over the edge.

Now I'll be Like a porn star... they'll definitely hear me coming.

Can't wait to install it.

Now that I've had the TBR for a couple weeks and a bunch miles, I LOVE it. :) It took me a few rides to get used to it. Now it doesn't bother me one bit. I've even had a few positive comments from regular folks just milling about. The bike sounds SWEET. Runs great too. It's not quiet though, so if you're looking for stealth look at another brand. It's not too loud either, it's just right.

I run a TBR on my V and have had it for over 5000 k . I love the way it sounds and the performance diff it makes . I did buy a p4 tip for it to make it a little quieter but went back to the p1 tip that it came with ....Vroom Vroom :)

Installed the LV last night!

I'm very happy with it.

I agree with the OP that this is exactly what the bike needed. I think this is what it should have came like stock. Then if you want to go louder you can go with TBR.

I can't believe how big and heavy that old can was.

Oh and I noticed a big improvement in low end torque... I'm finding that I don't have to downshift for power as much. Before hitting the throttle at low rpms would give you that engine bogging down sound... now it sounds good and power is delivered smoothly.

I'd recomend it but I have nothing to compare it to since I have never seen another Versys let alone another versys with a different exhaust.

Looks great on the bike, really tucked up in there like it came stock on there! Now the big question, how much do those things run?

my wife owns a 650r ninja that I ride and the low end power is down vs the versys. that being said, the ninjas higher compression and better cams really shine on top.
no bike can be everything but the ninja gets 8 to 10 mpg better and has 12 mph top end advantage. now for your question, top end has gone up about 3 mph with the pipe.
the db killer will always be in, not because its too loud with out it but midrange is where its at. the loss of 6 ftlbs is not ok for me sans dbk. look at the dyno charts above 8 grand hp and torque are going south. revving it out is fruitless. if the versys had the compression and cams of the ninja then id say, let er rip.
